With the acquisition of Harleysville National Bank, First Niagara Financial Bank expanded into Pennsylvania opening a number of branch banks.  In my capacity as Senior Designer at jBH3 & Associates, I worked with the regional facilities project manager to develop a new furniture and finish standards for their branch banks.  Based in Buffalo, NY,  First Niagara wanted to move away from the traditional look of their New York branches and transition to a new, more modern look in a new market.  Setting the tone with warm tans, silvery grays, and dark blues in the flooring and warm cherry in the teller millwork, I paired clean, organic lines of the furniture with simple, modern patterns and textured fabrics.  Additional pops of blue and yellow in the fabrics and paint created visual interest and expanded on the new printed material First Niagara’s marketing and development department introduced to appeal to First Niagara Bank’s new market.
